'Sunlight through the trees fascinates me. Capturing that light is everything'
Born in India, Neeta graduated in Fine Arts from Madras University before working in 3D animation. After moving to the UK in 1995, she was struck by the 'breathtaking views and how the landscape changed with the seasons’, and decided to start painting. She now works from her studio in North London.
Working mostly in acrylic paint on board, Neeta says that she aims to make landscape paintings that have 'tension between abstraction and figuration, whilst maintaining a sense of place'.
Neeta regularly exhibits her work in London. Most recently she was one of five artists exhibiting at the Camden Image Gallery in the exhibition 'People and Places'.
