Jacqui Grant

Challenging societal norms and sparking dialogue

Mixed media protest artist, Jacqui Grant, explores social and political issues. Using a combination of traditional and non-traditional materials and techniques, images, found materials and text, (including most recently the repeated use of the word STOP), Grant creates multilayered works that challenge societal norms and spark dialogue about pressing issues.

Grant’s work is driven by a desire to give a voice to marginalised communities and shed light on the various forms of oppression and injustice that exist in the world. By using her art as a form of activism, Grant says that she hopes to 'inspire others to take action and work towards creating a more just and equitable society.'
