Dawn Limbert is a self-taught pastel artist with a love of colour, dramatic light and shadows. She embraces the inherent qualities of pastels; their vibrant pigments and soft velvety texture, whilst constantly pushing their boundaries.
Finding solace and inspiration in the great outdoors, Limbert attempts to capture the fleeting beauty and ever-changing light of the natural world. Painting outdoors allows her to engage with her subject matter on an intimate level, capturing not just the visual elements but also the emotional energy of the moment.
Dawn is an Associate Artist with Unison Colour, Manchester Academy of Fine Arts, and the Pastel Society of America, and has exhibited with the Pastel Society at the Mall Galleries and the Society of Graphic Fine Art.
