Ayse’s Impressionistic oil paintings are a candid look at relationships within contemporary family life, painted with a powerful use of colour and light which suggests happiness and hope.
Her paintings show childhood memories, re-imagined in ordinary, everyday settings, creating waves of nostalgia and a portal back in time for the viewer.
Ayse’s work references artists of the past such as John Singer Sargent, Sorolla and Mary Cassatt, as well as being inspired by artists working today such as Alex Kanevsky and Christian Hook.
Previous to her current painting practice, Ayse worked in Graphic Design, having gained a degree in Product Design and an Masters in Graphic Design.
Ayse has had solo shows of her work in London as well as taking part in group exhibitions.
