Success stories from autumn 2023

19 January 2024 in Events, Exhibitions, Painting by Paul Regan

We have even more success stories shared by Studio Fridays artists from last year! During the autumn season, Margaret Crutchley and Neeta Popat Kataria took part in Hertfordshire Open Studios, exhibiting within the furniture shop; Sofas and Stuff, in St Albans. Margaret and Diana Sandetskaya both had work on show at the Guildford House Open and at Linden Hall Studio in Deal too. Also showing in Deal was Ayse McGowan, adding to the success of her solo show a few weeks earlier at the Cass Art Space in Islington. Elise Mendelle took part in an exhibition at Coffee Matters in Shoreditch with VVArts and painted live portraits on the opening evening. Elise also had her painting, Comfort and Joy, selected for the Winter Exhibition at Folkestone Art Gallery. New Studio Fridays member, Victoria Perloff, was invited to take part in a two day residency with Global Art, including being given a piece of graffiti wall to paint on. Her painting of holocaust survivor Miriam Freedman was shown on the big screen at JW3 as part of the film Running Free.Jacqui Grant’s print ‘Medicated’ appeared in ‘Small But Mighty’, at the Bankside Gallery, organised by the Royal Society of Painters and Printmakers, and finally, we love the photo below of Michelle Karpus’s happy client receiving her commissioned painting of her dog Teddy.
