To help you get to know the Studio Fridays artists better, I’ve asked each of them to share three pieces of their work and answer three questions about their practice. Here is……
I would have to say my portraits of my children, for capturing treasured moments from their childhood and the memories that go along with them
I am presently working on a larger, freer painting depicting a garden at Serge Hill. This piece is inspired by drawings and photographs taken at Serge Hill. It’s an incredible and inspiring location, with its own plant library filled with rare and unusual species.
I’ll be showing work at the Society of Women Artists exhibition, at the Mall Galleries between 24 June and 27 June.
I will be once again taking part in Herts Open Studios, opening my studio on the 10th, 23rd, 24th, 26th, and 27th September, from 13:00 to 15:00. The private view will take place on 6 September from 14:00 to 20:00.
Other times are available by appointment.
I am drawn to a wide range of subjects but especially flowers, often inspired by the many colour combinations. I love the way flowers can appear next to each other in a bouquet and create a pallet of endless opportunities I also love the challenge of painting people, striving to capture both their likeness and personality.
