Sara Gregory: 3 Artworks & 3 Questions

23 February 2026 in Studio Fridays Artists by Paul Regan

To help you get to know the Studio Fridays artists better, I’ve asked each of them to share three pieces of their work and answer three questions about their practice. Here is……

Sara Gregory

1. My favourite work from last year:

Staying in – 30.5 x 23 cm, 2025, Oil on Panel

2. The piece I am working on now:

Bound – 30.5 x 23 cm, Oil on Panel

3. My favourite work ever:

Woman of a Certain Age, 2025 – 40 x 20 cm, Oil on Panel

4. What were your 2025 highlights?

Exhibiting 12 of my Menopause Paintings at the Firepit Gallery in Greenwich

5. Can you describe your work in ten words or less?

Looking at the human condition and experience from a female perspective.

6. What pieces are you working on at the moment?

I am currently working on my Witch Women series. Paintings inspired by tales of women who were considered witches. These women were often ‘wise women’, herbalists or midwives and therefore had a certain status in their villages.  Accusing them as witches was a way of taking back their power.
