Who we are when no-one is looking?
Sara Gregory is a portrait and figurative artist who celebrates the essence of being human with all its flaws, fears and insecurities.
Sara captures individuals in their off-guard moments and suggests mood and narrative from the subtleties of the angle of a head or a deadpan stare.
Sara says that figurative paintings and portraits have been her passion from a young age, always connecting with people in paintings and asking herself about the sitter and their story.
Sara studied Fine Art at Stourbridge College of Art and had a studio at Nicholas Treadwell’s Art Mill in Bradford before becoming an art teacher. She spent 25 years teaching art to all ages before deciding to continue her journey as an artist.
